Dr. Cynthia Dixon, Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Cynthia Dixon is the founder and Senior Pastor of Rivers of Living Water Global Ministries, Inc. She is a native of Winston-Salem, NC, and is an anointed prophetic voice who preaches and teaches with power, purpose, and passion for the Kingdom of God. She has over 28 years in ministry and has served in multiple capacities as preacher, teacher, motivator, mentor, and prayer warrior. She received her undergraduate degree in 1990 from UNC Chapel-Hill with a degree in Business Administration, a Master’s in Divinity from Shaw University (2014), a Master’s in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University (2018), and Doctorate from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology (2021).

Dr. Dixon was licensed and ordained at First Waughtown Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, where she served over 27 years under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Dennis Bishop, Senior Pastor. She is grateful for her humble beginnings and wealth of learning while serving at FWBC. With a deep passion for teaching, Dr. Dixon is committed to discipleship. While at FWBC, God gave her a vision to birth a New Convert/New Member ministry that she led and developed for over 25 years. Through her nurture, care, and teaching of new converts, the ministry expanded and grew. Additionally, she has served as Bible Study Instructor, Vacation Bible School Instructor, Youth Church Teacher, Missionary, and Intercessor.

Dr. Dixon is highly sought after and has traveled to many churches spreading the message of the gospel doing revivals, conferences, workshops, and various engagements. As a woman of vision, Dr. Dixon is also the founder and CEO of Cynthia Dixon Ministries, Inc. She hosts empowerments to equip the body of Christ through her following ministries: Faith Academy, DMI (Divine Moments of Inspiration), Jumpstart Monday Early 6:00am prayer, and Conferences. She has also faithfully worked behind the scenes mentoring others and helping them develop their God-given gifts and talents

Dr. Dixon is a trailblazer and holds the prestigious honor of being the first woman to preach at her home church. Additionally, she was the first woman to preach at the Forsyth County Deacon’s Union in Winston-Salem. She was nominated and selected for the W-S 2022 Legacy Awards for Women for her contributions in ministry and the community.

Dr. Dixon is employed by the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system working at Central office on the Career and Technical Education administrative team. As an educator, she has impacted countless youth helping them achieve academic success and personal development. She is a devoted wife and mother and believes in living what she preaches. She is the wife of 32 years to Rev. Jarrod Dixon. She and her husband have 2 sons – Jarrod Dixon II (Seher) residing in Charlotte, NC, and Jiwann Dixon (Shade’) of Atlanta GA.

Most importantly, she loves the Lord with all her heart and soul and considers herself a humble servant of Jesus Christ. Her greatest passion is spending time in the presence of God. Her favorite scripture is “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Mathew 6:33..

Jarrod Dixon, Pastor

Pastor Jarrod Dixon is the co-founder of Rivers of Living Water Global Ministries, Inc.  He is a native of Winston-Salem, NC, and has been called, and set apart to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He has been in ministry since 2001.  He graduated from Vintage Bible College in 2015 with an Associates Degree in Christian Counseling.    As an anointed counselor and highly devoted family man, he has mentored, coached, and counseled many men helping them develop healthy families.  His counseling ministry focuses on helping heal damaged relationships, unhealthy marriages, broken families, and the emotionally hurting. 

Pastor Jarrod Dixon was licensed at First Waughtown Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Dennis Bishop, Senior Pastor.    There he participated in the men’s fellowship BRO, sang on the Men’s Choir, and participated in the Marriage Ministry.  Pastor Dixon also has experience in prison and jail ministry, visiting the incarcerated to minister salvation, hope, encouragement based on the mandate in Matthew 25:35-36:   For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’

Pastor Dixon has faithfully supported and covered the ministry of his wife, Dr. Cynthia Dixon as she traveled and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. His prayers and support allowed her to fully yield to the call of God on her life.  As a ministry team, they have graced many churches in the triad and surrounding community flowing in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Pastor Dixon is also highly gifted as a creative writer and is a published author.  He has used his writing as another avenue to publish the message of Christ

Pastor Dixon is a long-time employee of Hanesbrands with over 25 years of service.  He and his wife have 2 sons – Jarrod Dixon II (Seher) residing in Charlotte, NC, and Jiwann Dixon (Shade’) of Atlanta GA.
